Earth Month!
Thanks to everyone that came to check out last month's theme, plankton. This month, in celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, we will celebrate earth month! Check out our displays and artifact tables for detailed information on our amazing earth and the history of earth day. Bring the little ones in during Sea Story time on Sundays at 11:30 for recycled crafts and stories about our earth. Make sure to come to the viewing of "One Day," an original video by Facility Director Eric Martin. Join us on Earth Day, April 22nd at 6pm for this amazing and inspiring 20 min video. A $2 donation per person or $5 per family is appreciated at the door before the show.
All New Summer Camp at the Roundhouse!
Where else can you send your kids for fun in the sun and hands-on marine science in the South Bay? The Roundhouse Aquarium, located right at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier has a brand new summer camp program. It is much easier to register, much easier to pick a camp, and kids ages 4-10 can sign up together! Your kids can even learn to surf the same week that they dissect squid and learn about how to create a healthier ocean. This year, if you sign your child up for more than 1 camp, you can save $50-$100! Check out the Roundhouse website at www.roundhouseaquarium.org/summer today to sign up!
Visit the Roundhouse at upcoming fairs!
Be sure to participate with the Roundhouse in the multiple Eath Day fairs this month. You can visit us at the Earth Day fair in Whittier on April 9th or the Earth Day fair at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach on April 16th. Be sure to come to the Roundhouse on Earth Day, April 22nd for a special screening of our very own environmental video "One Day" by Roundhouse Director Eric Martin. This 20 min video is amazing and inspirational. We are asking a $2 per person or $5 per family donation at the door before the show.
